The car is a Morris 6 first Registered in 1928. Morris 6's were only made for 2 years before being superseded by the Morris Isis in 1930.

They were introduced by William Morris as a step up from Flatnose Oxfords and Cowleys which were becoming dated, having been introduced in 1920.
The car has had an interesting career having apparently been up-graded to a continental touring model in the pre-war years. It is said to have had a large Bentley type petrol tank instead of the standard tank, the marks on the rear of the car reach almost to the back window. The car was parked at a Cafe off the Fosse Way for some time and had the tank removed for repairs but fell a victim to a scrap man when left outside.
It was owned in the 1950's by John Strange who was a stonemason in Chipping Campden and then having lost its petrol tank, sold to William Davies in Shipston on Stour, he was a keen collector of commercial vehicles and eventually sold it via a Walton and Hipkiss sale at the National Agricultural Centre in Stoneleigh, where it was bought at auction in December 1989.
It was used regularly for about 6 years but then sidelined in favour of the Vintage M.G.s. It has had re-painted wheels, new tyres and various other routine work over the years but no major work so that it is oily rag condition and it almost deserves to be kept like that.
It has matching numbers and when last on the road it was running well.
